Just wanted to share this with people. Amazing song, ashamed I never heard it before. The days of quality live music that was actually unique are long gone, so hold onto the classics whenever you can.
People wonder why the state of California is bankrupt and 10's of thousands of people are fleeing due to lack of jobs and insanely high taxes. This is yet another example of government bureaucracy and regulations destroying the incentive to remain in the state. Could you imagine spending 10k dollars on geological surveys and tests only for you permit to be rejected. Of course you can say, "soak the rich" but imagine the red tape that the average business owner has to go through or even the typical property owner.
ESPN commentator Tony Kornheiser has been suspended for three days for insulting Sports Center anchor Hannah Storm on her outfit during his show, Pardon the Interruption. No stranger to a sense of humor, often criticizing sports figures, this time around he decided to vent some frustrated over her characteristically 'youthful' wardrobe which doesn't quite match her actual age which is 47.
This isn't about Obama, this isn't about Republicans its about denouncing the progressive movement in the United States. I was pleasantly surprised to hear Glenn Beck point out the failures of both parties. The message is clear, Americans are tired of being labeled and told that the government is going to make everything alright. Instead we realize that we cannot right the issues of this country without returning to the founding principles in which we rose to greatness. Those times are not gone, they are not forgotten, simply lost.
Yes you heard it, he ruined a pregame show. You would think it would be impossible to ruin it considering it was a non stop Hurricane Katrina cyrfest. But low and behold we get to listen to Obama and Katie Couric talk about politics for 15 minutes. Mr. President, in this recession, when people are out of work, perhaps this is a moment for them to get away from politics and simply enjoy a stupid Superbowl pregame show. instead of talking about Health Care Reform.
Ever stop and think about how the laws which you think simply exist to protect you, also come with negative consequences that often transfer over to certain segments of society? I think this issue rings clear when we hear about discrimination not only based on race but on income. Its always for the greater good, but for the greater good of who? Perhaps for the white collar worker with the BMW and not so much for factory worker in the Saturn. The Nanny State, just wait until it affects your freedom and not someone else.
While 1/6 of the economy is on the line, Democrats plan on negotiating the final version of the health care reform bill behind closed doors. C-Span was used as a campaign ploy to convince voters during the 2008 elections that then, presidential candidate Barack Obama was somehow all about transparency and accountability. Not another 8 years or George W. Bush his supporters claimed. This was the hope and change that the American people had hoped for.
Over 45 years later and Ronald Reagan's words still ring true. The Federal Government cannot regulate the economy without controlling the people. And where do we stand today, deep in debt through false conservatives and elite progressives. Where is the hope and change we were promised? I say our hope can be found from learning about our past and understanding that the government can not solve anything, the government is the problem.
