The Liberal Party creates dependents on government and thus secures voters. But once the economy takes even the most slight of downturns, reality sets in, and we are left with government programs that cannot sustain themselves. The government is like the person who has a steady job but saves nothing. They spend spend spend until there hours are reduced or they lose their job all together. Then they are left with piling bills, they throw some of the money on their credit cards and pray for things to improve.
The interest accumulates, but there is one key thing missing. Unlike the government, we cannot demand money from our neighbors or print money to cover our expenses. When times are good the government spends peoples money without any regard to quality of value. The promises get so big and the corruption so vast, that once the time comes to put on the breaks and start preparing for the worst its already too late. People need to wise up on both sides of the political line, and realize that the responsibility and the power to spend should be in the hands of those who work for it, the consumers, not the dependents.
