Mark Knopfler - Ride Across The River

Just wanted to share this with people. Amazing song, ashamed I never heard it before. The days of quality live music that was actually unique are long gone, so hold onto the classics whenever you can.

"Midget Cup" to Wife Carrying, Its Entertainment Stupid

Sorry, its funny. I don't understand how people can take offense to things that are meant to be comedy in the first place. I don't see enslaved midgets being forced to ride on the backs of normal sized people. Its a race!

Fox News Disasters and Sheep Banging!

Disaster House takes things to the extreme so this video isn't too far from reality. MSNBC, take note, even when Fox News is over the top they still have more watch-ability. I had a good laugh at least.

David Letterman | Scandal, Ratings, Divorce?

Dave Letterman has come a long way since his early days in AM talk radio during the late 60's and early 70's. The face that many could have envisioned being in radio for eternity ended up on TV screens across the country from his early game show and sitcom appearances to a more widespread audience as a guest on the Johny Carson Show in the late 70's. After his marriage to his college sweetheart ended in 1977 Letterman's career slowly started to take shape.

2012 The Ultimate Disaster Movie! or Ultimate Movie Disaster?

Yes, Woody Harrelson is the prophet on top of a mountain!

First, the Mayan calendar predicted it...Now, science has confirmed it...but we never imagined it could really happen. The end is just the beginning. Who will be left behind?

These are the taglines for the new "blockbuster" directed by Roland Emmerich, the man who brought us such movie classics as 'Independence Day', 'Godzilla' and 'The Day After Tomorrow.' And by classic I mean unforgettable for better or worse.

Fred Duuuuuuuuuuuurst

Sorry, did I put this under entertainment?

(more entertainment!)

Defendor Woody!

I don't know what to think about this movie. This Canadian production looks like a dark comedy which tend to be hit and miss with me lately. Its been a long time since I saw a Woody Harrelson movie that made me laugh, probably not since Kingpin. So will this movie break the bank or bust? Perhaps instead, it will find a cult following. One thing is for sure, super hero movies are becoming pretty.., Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Nazi Hunting Season | Inglourious Basterds

Real Nazi figures are portrayed in the latest movie written and directed by Quentin Tarantino. But the facts are nothing short of non existent. And that is to be expected because this movie isn't about WWII, its about killing Nazi's!

District 9 | Promising Sci Fi

District 9 is tearing it up on the RT meter and is receiving some impressive reviews. If you never heard about the movie until recently your not alone. Aside from Peter Jackson's name being touted by critics and fans very little is known about director Neill Blomkamp.

Matter of fact, aside from his limited work as a Visual Affects animator in popular TV programs such as Stargate SG-1 and Smallville, District 9 is a major leap into the mainstream without sacrificing substance. Or at least that is what has been made clear by the $37+ million grossed during its opening weekend. Peter Jackson has paired up with the young Vancouver Film School graduate to produce an impressive movie. And Blomkamp doesn't disappoint with his director skills.

Ben Silverman | Out of NBC, Into IAC

Ben Silverman, Co-Chairman of NBC Entertainment is no longer on the networks A-List. The self proclaimed liberal, self promoter and notorious playboy was given his "walking papers" so to speak, yet NBC and Zucker add their own spin. Silverman was chosen to co-chair the entertainment division along side Marc Graboff in 2007. With the departure of Silverman, Graboff will remain as Chairman of NBC Entertainment, reporting to Jeff Gaspin.

Typical in both the business and entertainment world, Silverman's short lived position within NBC is being touted as a simple change of direction. Silverman was unable to pull NBC out of the #4 ratings spot and the writers strike sure didn't help him. Despite these obstacles, NBC was in a position to improve, instead it has remained right where it started.
