So the shit has hit the fan. News has it you can play Kurt Cobain for any song you want. As it happens the online world erupted in outrage over this (strangely enough about the same time The Beatles: Rock Band came out).

Reading the past 2 days of news I missed on Joystiq.com the ol' coke-nostrilled whore demon Courtney Love said she never gave permission for his image to be used in the game and intends to sue. Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic both being a bit more thoughtful asked for Activision to just re-lock the character so he can't sing Coldplay songs and whatnot.

Anyways, as I was reading through the very polarized comments I came across this comic from Penny Arcade that made me laugh pretty hard. Click "Read More" to see it

As you may (or may not) have noticed the Virtual Console hasn’t been updated in more than 2 weeks, and because of that many people have their heads scratching out of the weird predicament. A while back Nintendo responded with this following statement, and I quote:

“We understand your concern about the lack of service on the VC as of late. Due to sales numbers being far greater recently on Wiiware than on Virtual Console, we have decided to steer in the direction of WiiWare. Also, we in America have NO plans to update the Internet Channel or the Nintendo Channel. We hope you understand”

Now many Nintendo fans have banded together in an all out Twitterfest, in hopes of getting the word out about the demand of VC by not only the owners but the FANS.

PsP Go | Info Leaked

Sony's latest portable gaming device got a bit of an early introduction after photos and video were leaked recently. But that takes very little away from the buzz being generated about the sleek, Sony Go portable gaming system. Lets just call it a cousin to the PsP 3000 which was released worldwide in early 2004. Unlike its counterpart, the new PsP Go will be all digital media, meaning no disks, and will also have 16 gigs of storage space as well as flash memory.
