Ape Menace in Wisconsin

Im sad to say that i missed a very important news piece yesterday. And this one hits close to home. Fox 11 News reported on Friday that an unarmed robber, in a Ape Suit had made more than one attempt to rob two Kwik Trip convenience stores of their prized bananas. But not the ones you may be thinking. These are large styrofoam bananas used for displays within the store. The incidents occurred in Fond Du Lac Wisconsin, which is just down the road from where i live. According to reports, there were 2 failed attempts earlier in the week. The big score came Late Wednesday or early Thursday.

"The person walked in with the gorilla suit, yanked the banana down from the display and went out the front door," Capt. Steve Klein said.

Olympic Torch | Pass The Joint Man!

The 2010 Olympic Torch has gotten some peculiar attention recently. Next years Winter Olympics will be held in Vancouver, British Columbia. The picture above is the official torch which will be lit on October 22, 2009 and will begin its 45,000 kilometer, 106-day journey on October 30, 2009. The tradition of carrying the torch dates back to 1928 during the Summer Olympics in Amsterdam. Symbolic of the ancient Greek legend of Prometheus stealing the fire from the Greek god Zeus, the carrying of the torch is one of the most recognizable symbols of the Olympic games.
