People wonder why the state of California is bankrupt and 10's of thousands of people are fleeing due to lack of jobs and insanely high taxes. This is yet another example of government bureaucracy and regulations destroying the incentive to remain in the state. Could you imagine spending 10k dollars on geological surveys and tests only for you permit to be rejected. Of course you can say, "soak the rich" but imagine the red tape that the average business owner has to go through or even the typical property owner.
Yes you heard it, he ruined a pregame show. You would think it would be impossible to ruin it considering it was a non stop Hurricane Katrina cyrfest. But low and behold we get to listen to Obama and Katie Couric talk about politics for 15 minutes. Mr. President, in this recession, when people are out of work, perhaps this is a moment for them to get away from politics and simply enjoy a stupid Superbowl pregame show. instead of talking about Health Care Reform.
Over 45 years later and Ronald Reagan's words still ring true. The Federal Government cannot regulate the economy without controlling the people. And where do we stand today, deep in debt through false conservatives and elite progressives. Where is the hope and change we were promised? I say our hope can be found from learning about our past and understanding that the government can not solve anything, the government is the problem.
"Racism and hate are two very different things at least the way racism is defined today. I do not believe that any race is superior to another. But in this politically correct bullshit world we live in I could be considered a racist. As far as economic philosophy is concerned, I believe in economic freedom for everyone. That means no matter my slanted views on an individual, they all have equal opportunity despite what society deems to be an accurate label for a certain individual or group. Economic freedom without the government protecting any one group over another is the truest form of equality. We can all have our own flaws, but we can not force our beliefs or opinions on others and use them to push people away from their true potential." - juslen via Digg.com
Obama loves to play golf, maybe he should take some advice from his BFF
That's funny, I have yet to see anyone as outraged as Keith Olbermann was in regards to George W. Bush's golf habits during the Iraq war. Maybe he had a point back then, but that message goes on deaf ears today. Unless you listen to the right wing radicals of course. Where is the outrage over Barack Obama's golf record? Sadly, its all about double standards in both politics and in the mainstream media. And what better person to represent the issue than Keith Olbermann, who is a walking contradiction. Also, I love how he can't help himself, you know he wanted to cuss and swear and throw something during the segment. Typical Liberal, full of emotion, reaction and drama and often best when its scripted.
The internet, the world, the media, just to name a few. People can't stop scratching their heads, bitching or even praising Barack Husein Obama for his accomplishment. The Nobel Peace Prize is nothing new for United States presidents, but many people are left wondering how Obama could win the prize so soon.
I often agree with Glenn Beck. But sometimes I feel he is a bit out of touch with people like myself. This video is proof of that. You see, I'm one of those evil godless people that he is referring to. I put my faith in myself and those I care about. I'm a firm believer that it takes good will, charity and personal accountability to make a nation strong. Even the godless worship, and this is where Glenn Beck hit the nail right on the head. But he forgot about those who may not believe in a higher power, but also do not believe that any one man can solve the worlds problems.
I can't say for certain if these concerns are right or wrong but I can say they are real. These are tough questions that many people not just Libertarians, Republicans, Democrats and Independents have been asking themselves. At least those of us who aren't politicians. Ron Paul is one of the few politicians to speak up.
