Marina Orlova is the worlds hottest and most successful Philologist. She first appeared on YouTube in 2007, and has nearly 200 million views of her videos to date. The Russian born "infotaintment" star also has her own website with popular subjects like the Nerd Word of the Day, and of course links to her famous video's, tracing the origins of English words.

Her appeal comes not only from the original concept of HotForWords but also for her blond-bombshell persona and her reputation for wearing scantily clad outfits. “Intelligence is Sexy," is her motto and tag line, and she shows you she means business.

Her Russian accent also adds a bit of flare to the act, which is often quite simple, explain words, where the come from, and why we use them today. Words are a funny thing, one minute they are "in" next minute they are out, but always ever evolving or resurfacing. And that is where Marina comes in.
