Final Fantasy 7 is in the PSN Store!

So here it is, the game that everyone was waiting for, we all knew it would come, but when? When was the game that turned Final Fantasy into a cash cow for Square going to come to the PSN Store?

Finally, it has happened.

I first heard about this 2 days ago, when a friend of mine told me their life was going to be reconsumed by this beautifully addicting game.

For anyone who has never heard of Final Fantasy 7, it was the first Final Fantasy title to come to the Playstation 1, being released on January the 31st 1997. The Final Fantasy series are all RPG games. Final Fantasy 7, has, on many occasions been voted as one of the top games of all times, in numerous polls. And, as of December 2005, has sold 9.8 Million copies, making it the best selling Final Fantasy games of all time.

The game itself, is an absolute dream of a game, which has a story line of oppression, love and loss. The game starts as the player takes control of Cloud Strife, a mercenary on a mission with a group of eco-warriors to destroy a Mako Reactor, owned by the evil Shinra Corporation. The Mako Reactors suck the life out of the planet to create energy.

Although, stuff soon goes off the plan on the second mission, as Cloud falls below the Reactor to the slums below, where he meets Aeris, a young, beautiful flower seller, who Cloud clearly has a thing for. After this, the tale begins, as Cloud and the people he meets on his journey face their personal demons, and eventually, go after Sephiroth, once a great time Soldier for Shinra, turned into the antagonist who is going to destroy the world, and only Cloud and his friends can save the planet.

Anyone who is interested in the game, can buy it off the PSN store for £7.99 or $9.99 if you live in the USA. A great deal in my opinion. This game can be played on the PS3, or PSP. So now, I can play my favourite game of all time wherever I am. :D

Sephiroth, here I come! Again. :P
