#4 Yoshi Story
Yoshi Story is probably one of the most under rated Nintendo games ever, but however it’s sound track and game play says differently. It was one of the first games to introduce the 2 ½ D style, but at the same time that didn’t take away from the classic Yoshi Island gameplay, which remained pretty, much the same. The levels were also very much well designed and easily navigable, however the design and overall style of the game caused people to pass on it because of how "kiddy it was" (remind you of anything?)
Enough talking about the game play though, onto the sound track. The tunes in this game are catch as heck. From start to finish a lot of these song will get stuck in your head never to be removed. Heck, I remember as a kid singing along with the game as I played it.
It’s just that catchy.
And then there was that song… the one that put you to tears as you watched the credit for the game fly by after finally getting back the happy tree from the evil Baby Bowser. That song that could make even the toughest of males cry… it was just that powerful. With the Yoshis singing along in there happy little voices as the credits rolled you really just can’t help but break out in tears.
It is because of that song that I place this soundtrack on this list.
Now let’s all cry together:
