Blame Atheism
- Front Page:
I often agree with Glenn Beck. But sometimes I feel he is a bit out of touch with people like myself. This video is proof of that. You see, I'm one of those evil godless people that he is referring to. I put my faith in myself and those I care about. I'm a firm believer that it takes good will, charity and personal accountability to make a nation strong. Even the godless worship, and this is where Glenn Beck hit the nail right on the head. But he forgot about those who may not believe in a higher power, but also do not believe that any one man can solve the worlds problems.
That is why both men and women should be free. Its human nature to both create and destroy. I do believe that a good moral compass and faith can bring people together and make the world a better place. As a society, we have evolved. Its true, people feel that the government is the answer. Yet not everyone feels this way because they lack religion in their lives, its simply because they lack self discipline. People need to put their faith in something, whether its themselves or something much bigger. In the end however, God does not dictate anyone's lives and neither should the government. Can you honestly say that the government doesn't dictate our lives? If not, maybe I am onto something here.
And so is Glenn Beck, but putting sole blame on the problems of the world on "non believers" is foolish. We have to believe in ourselves, we have to believe that a free people can do great things with or without the guidance of a higher power. Leave the worshiping to those who believe and the hope to the people, not in some political figure or ideology.
