Kudlow & Santelli called it 7 months ago.

Does this sound familiar?

If you have even remotely paid attention to the news lately you may have noticed that the Obama administration is turning up the heat on cable news, talk radio and conservative news/opinion websites. Three names come to mind, Fox, Rush and Drudge. In the words of Larry Kudlow, "there is a freedom of the press issue, there is also a respect issue, and there is also a bullying issue," and Rick Santelli nailed it pointing out freedom of speech. Liberals are on the attack, probably because Obama's approval ratings continue to drop and key issues on the administrations agenda seem to be stalled or riddled with negative coverage from news organizations like Fox News.

We have the big 3; cable, radio and the internet covered by a defensive administration. Is it appropriate for politicians to take jabs at the media, talk radio and even right leaning internet websites? Of course not, freedom of the press and free speech exists for a reason and so does government. A quick look at the Drudge Report and you can see the bias, but that bias is geared towards those who feed off of it. And that is the point, its about information and entertainment. Do people honestly think that CNN doesn't have a bias or that Keith Olbermann doesn't hate Glenn Beck and for the love of god, does the Huffington Post have anything good to say about Sarah Palin? Stop and think about that, its called freedom of speech even if you don't agree with it.
